Questions
Do I need to complete the DSPT?+
Yes, if your organisation has access to NHS patient data — including GP practices, dental clinics, pharmacies and opticians. It's due every year, usually by 30 June.
Does ClinicShield work for dental practices, pharmacies or opticians?+
Yes. GP practices use Category 4 (49 evidence items, 29 mandatory). Dental practices, community pharmacies, opticians, social care services and other independent healthcare providers use Category 3 (80 items, 45 mandatory). ClinicShield selects the question set from your organisation type. Specialist Category 3a and 3b profiles are not covered.
Does ClinicShield submit my DSPT for me?+
No. ClinicShield is a preparation and guidance tool. You still publish your submission on the official DSPT website. Our mapping guide helps you decide what to enter. We're not affiliated with NHS England and can't guarantee an outcome.
Is my data safe?+
ClinicShield doesn't need patient data, only your answers about how your practice works. Assessment data and evidence files are encrypted and stored in Ireland. Access to your organisation's data is limited to team members. Our privacy policy explains how our providers process other data, such as account and billing details.
Can I try it before paying?+
Yes. The full questionnaire and traffic-light summary are free forever. Upgrade when you want the full action plan, templates and report.
Can I cancel?+
Yes, any time from the billing page — you keep access until the end of your paid year. If you change your mind within 14 days of your first purchase, we'll refund you in full.
